We affirm the historic orthodoxy of the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Definition of Chalcedon, and the Five Solas of the Protestant Reformation.

We also hold to the evangelical commitments of the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy (1978), the Danvers Statement on Biblical Complementarity (1987), the Nashville Statement on Biblical Sexuality (2017), and the Augustine School Statement on Social Theory (2022).

We believe that God has ordained distinct institutions—the family, the church, and the state—each with its sphere of authority and responsibility. No institution shall abdicate its authority and responsibility or encroach upon that of the others. As such, Christians must guard against confusing the church’s mission and neglecting their commitments to it. We must also distinguish between the work of the church as an institution and the efforts of individual Christians in their communities. Alberta Reformer is an initiative of the latter.

Our Distinctives:

  • Centered on Christ
  • Rooted in Scripture
  • Tethered to the Church
  • Rigorous in Thought
  • Locally Focused
  • Always Reforming
